2024-2025 Board of Education Goals and Indicators
Goal 1: Strengthen community and component school awareness and understanding of the services BOCES provides
Continue communications to focus on marketing by highlighting the services and programs that serve our communities
Continue reinforcing with all staff the unique aspects and programs BOCES offers and take pride in representing their work
Use student voices, work, and images as much as possible including having students present at the component Board meetings
Grow our social media audience and develop a more-connected social media network among BOCES and the component districts
Goal 2: Enhance and maintain BOCES facilities to support innovative teaching in a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors
Support the facilities advisory committee comprised of component board members as well as our Board members with the goal of getting district input into facilities’ needs and prioritization of the work (if needed due to cost overruns)
Develop a long-range plan for maintaining the facilities
Goal 3: Develop streamlined business systems to assure timely and efficient operations
Continue the shift to digital processes (staff attendance, purchase orders, etc.)
Re-align business office duties with new staffing configuration
Develop HR systems and work with administrators and clerical staff to assure timely hiring and promotional actions
