Teacher Certification

The Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES has been authorized by the New York State Education Department’s Office of Teaching Initiatives to assist individuals and component school districts with NYS teacher, teaching assistant and coaching certification.

This office is able to:

• Evaluate certification applications for Teaching Assistant titles (Level I, Level II, Level III, and Pre-professional)

• Evaluate license applications for non-teacher Coaches (Temporary and Professional)

• Evaluate certification applications for Professional teaching certificates
