Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Conservation seniors presented career planning projects on Wednesday, May 31, and then juniors presented their animal conservation projects that afternoon.
Students developed their projects in class with Conservation program instructor William Carpenter and Herkimer BOCES Career and Technical Education content teachers. They then presented the projects to Herkimer BOCES administrators, staff and students to practice public speaking.
Conservation seniors conducted projects about their career plans and prepared materials to showcase the research they have done into their chosen career path.
Conservation juniors completed projects that involved researching a New York state animal species, its history, conservation efforts and management needs.
