The Herkimer-Fulton-Hamilton-Otsego BOCES Board of Education held a reception for retirees and honored staff receiving tenure during a board meeting on Thursday, June 6.
Staff recognized for receiving tenure were:
Amanda Witt, a teaching assistant at the William E. Busacker Complex
Isaac Hafelin, a social studies teacher at Pathways Academy
Thaddeus Wronka, a social studies teacher for Herkimer BOCES special programs at Central Valley
Retirees who attended and were recognized were:
Roberta Matthews, director of special and alternative education
Starlene Treusdell, teaching assistant for Herkimer BOCES special programs at Central Valley
Dave Wasson, math teacher for technical education
The other 2023-24 retirees are:
Debra Feeney, a teacher aide
Wayne Weber, a migrant education tutor
Vicki Devereese, secretary to the assistant superintendent for instructional services
