The countdown continues to apply for our next full-time and part-time Adult Practical Nursing classes, and we’re counting down by highlighting current students!

As of Feb. 15, there are 106 days left to apply for the Adult LPN Program full-time class and 161 days left to apply for the part-time classes. But space is limited, and time is of the essence, so apply now!

Name: Sarah McWaters  

Class: Part-time evening (starting January 2022, graduating June 2023)  

Where do you live: Milford  

Tell us about your family: I have three kids, Aidan (15), Kenson (11) and Grace (3). I am from a multiracial family that consists of seven siblings.  

Tell us about your past work experience: I used to work at a factory making yarn, and I have been an NAIII at Bassett for six years.  

Why do you want to be a nurse? I want to be a nurse because I love taking care of others and want to be a part of something bigger than myself.  

Why did you pick this program? I chose this program because my job offered to pay for it.  

What do you find most challenging? Finding time for everything.  

What do you find most rewarding? Knowing that on some level I positively impacted someone’s life.  

What do you want to do after nursing school? I would like to work with the geriatric population.
